Belize Weather: Rain for South as fair weather gives way to instability

Fair weather will be prevailing, then later some moisture and instability sets in according to the National Meteorological Service.

The 24-hour forecast is for sunny skies today with a few cloudy spells. Tonight skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy. Shower activity will be isolated today, then tonight and tomorrow morning expect a few outbreaks of showers and thunderstorms to develop mainly over southern areas.

High temperatures are 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 95 degrees inland and 84 in the hills. Tonight, low temperatures are 80 degrees along the coast; 76 degrees inland, and 66 in the hills.

Winds are easterly at 10 to 20 knots; sea state is choppy.

Tides are high at 10:18 a.m. and 11:56 p.m. and low at 5:48 p.m. The sun sets at 6:16 p.m. and rises Friday morning at 5:21 a.m.

Outlook for Friday and Friday night is for cloudy skies with a few outbreaks of showers and thunderstorms developing mainly over southern areas.
