Posted: Thursday, May 13, 2021. 10:50 am CST.

By Zoila Palma: The Caribbean Women in Leadership (CIWiL) Belize issued a statement extending congratulations to fellow member, Dominique Noralez, on her bid to become the Regional Representative of the Caribbean and the Americas on the Commonwealth Youth Council for a 2-year term from 2021-2023.

“Noralez has displayed an unwavering passion for youth development with a track record to match having served on the National Youth Council of Belize and having been appointed Commonwealth Youth Parliamentarian and Belize’s National Delegate at the 2018 Commonwealth Youth Forum,” CIWiL noted.

Noralez is currently the Student Affairs Director of the National Students Union of Belize, an executive councilor with the National Garifuna Council Belize City branch, an executive member of Pink Parliament, and a Sir Arthur Lewis Award Scholar at the UWI Cave Hill in Barbados.

“Noralez’s platform is based on four pillars: Strengthening National Youth Councils, Incubating Youth Power, Living with the Environment, and A Consciousness Rehab. She calls them SMART goals for her two-year term collated from her years of experience and vast network in youth development spanning across the Caribbean, the Americas, and Europe,” CIWiL added.

CIWiL says that it unreservedly supports Noralez’s candidacy and wishes her all the best throughout the rest of her campaign period and in the election process.
