The Belize Coast Guard says that the course is aimed to equip the participants with the skills to lead, develop, and effectively administer a squad of sailors both ashore or afloat.

The training was conducted over a 4-week time frame.

In his address, Ag Commandant, Gregory Soberanis highlighted the importance of self-disciple as the most pertinent asset for a successful military career. “

“Don’t ever forget the Coast Guard Mission, Vision and Ethos, and the responsibility that falls upon us as leaders.” Soberanis said.

Soberanis also reminded the sailors to maintain and follow all protocols established to eradicate and fight COVID-19 and encouraged the sailors to get vaccinated.

The Belize Coast Guard extended congratulations to all officers.
