Belize National Beach Soccer Team arrives safely in Cancun, flies to Costa Rica for World Cup Qualifying Tournament

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Men’s National Beach Soccer Team (BMNBST) arrived well in Cancun and now travel to Costa Rica for the 2021 Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship said the Football Federation of Belize (FFB).

The Concacaf tournament, which will be played in Alajuela, Costa Rica from May 17-23, 2021, not only crowns regional champions but also qualifies two teams to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

The BMNBST is comprised of 12 players: goalkeepers Rugerri Trejo and Brenton Garcia, defenders Jermain Jones, Carlos Bent, Sean Mas, Brandon Jones, and Sean Caliz, midfielders Devaney Tillett, Raymond Ramos, Devin Guzman, and Evan Mariano, and striker Marlon Meza.

They are coached by Dennis ‘Den Den’ Serano who is assisted by Ervin Casimiro as assistant coach and Victor Orellano as the goalkeeper coach. Equipment manager Herbert Trapp, doctor David Pacheco, physiotherapist Aba Ben and technical director Philip Marin complete the technical staff.

Belize is in Group A. Our team plays against Mexico on Monday, May 17 and against Panama on Tuesday, May 18.

Group B is comprised of El Salvador, Bahamas, Guatemala, and Dominican Republic

Group C is made up of United States, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Turks and Caicos Islands
