Police investigating incident of officer who pulled a gun on Joyjah Estrada’s brother

By Benjamin Flowers: Commissioner of Police Chester Williams says that the police department is conducting an investigation into an incident that occurred over the weekend, in which an officer pulled a gun on Instagram influencer Joyjah Estrada’s little brother.

Estrada, who has over a half million followers on Instagram, posted a recording of her screaming and pleading with the police officer not to hurt her brother, as they celebrated her father’s birthday in San Pedro Town on Friday night.

Williams says that he would not comment in detail on the matter, because it is under investigation by the Professional Standards Branch.

“Whatever the investigation yields then the chips are going to fall where they may,” Williams said. “If the police officer is wrong then we are going to take action against the police officer.”

Estrada said that if it were not for the officer pulling the gun, she would not have taken her complaint to social media as the incident was minor up until that point.
