By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Isabella Bank’s Rural Mix took down Western Eagles of Rancho Dolores 163-119 at Crooked Tree in the Division 2 semifinal playoff of the Belize National Cricket Association’s (BNCA) Barry Bowen/Harrison Parks championship.
Rural Mix totaled 163 runs in 28 overs with Randy Rhaburn leading them with 41 runs. Jarel Hendy added 22 runs. Marcel Nugent contributed 15 runs and Eldon Hendy 14 runs.
Casper Smith of Western Eagles took four wickets and Brian Cassasola got three.
Chasing the 163, Western Eagles let go their hopes of the finals as their last wicket fell at 119 after 22.5 overs.
Casper Smith recorded 23 runs. Jermain Pook and Norman Pook scored 18 apiece while Baronlee Clare added 16 and Yassir Pook 12.
Man of the Match Dwayne Hendy took six wickets for Rural Mix, while Dudley Hendy took three.
Rural Mix will now challenge Crooked Tree’s Brilliant in the final.
