By Zoila Palma: Today, the Ministry of Health and Wellness issued a reminder to all Belizeans that Belize is guided by local public health regulations that require mandatory mask-wearing.
The Ministry says that it is aware of the recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that persons who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to wear masks.
But, regulations in Belize include physical distancing (six feet) and avoiding social gatherings.
The ministry says that these regulations are enforced by the Belize Police Department.
