Oscar Quiroz wins Cayo Sunday cycling race

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Oscar Quiroz of Team Smart won Week 2 of the Sunday races organized by San Ignacio/Santa Elena town councilor Zahir Figueroa on La Loma Luz Boulevard in Santa Elena, Cayo.

Quiroz won the Elite category followed by Henry Li of PROJECT BZE in 2nd position.

Josh N. Fuller, who won the PROJECT BZE Saturday race on the John Smith Road in the Belize District, was 3rd.

PROJECT BZE’s Jafari Castro was 4tth and Byron Pope finished 5th.

Renan Codd won the Junior Category while Dalvin Cowo took the Amateur Division.

Tyler Tejeda was the Youngest Rider.

The stations prizes were won by Richard Santiago after Lap 3, Jafari Castro at Lap 6, and Quiroz at Lap 9.
