Ministry of Health and Wellness reports eight new COVID-19 infections

By Benjamin Flowers: The Ministry of Health and Wellness is reporting eight new cases of COVID-19 in Belize.

The latest national update shows that the new cases were detected among a sample batch of 592 tests.

New cases were split evenly between four males and four females.

The daily positivity rate stood at 1.36, while the country’s national total for confirmed cases now stands at 12,753.

There were no new deaths associated with the virus.
