Missing Indian tourist found dead

By Benjamin Flowers: Police have confirmed that 27-year-old Indian tourist Aravid Srinivasan, has been found dead.

Authorities recovered Srinivasan’s body from the water near Caye Caulker shortly after 2:00 p.m. this afternoon.

He had reportedly gone kayaking on Monday but never returned. Authorities began searching for him on Tuesday, and earlier today a fisherman in the area had found the kayak.

The Caye Caulker Village Council has since issued a statement, expressing its condolences to Srinivasan’s family and friends.
