Nine new COVID-19 infections recorded

By Benjamin Flowers: Belize has recorded another nine cases of COVID-19, according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

The Ministry’s latest daily update shows that the newly confirmed cases were detected among a sample batch of 650 tests.

Of the new cases, only one of them was a male and the remaining eight were female.

The daily positivity rate stood at 1.39, while the country’s national total for confirmed cases now stands at 12,761.

There were no new deaths associated with the virus.
