Leticia and Mark Frankel found dead on feeder road, Police Commissioner promises “intense” investigation

By Benjamin Flowers: Today, police found the bodies of Leticia and Mark Frankel, the missing couple from the Sunset Community, and Commissioner of Police Chester Williams promised that the department will be working diligently to find their killer.

Williams said that searches had been conducted for the couple from yesterday when their vehicle was found on a feeder road. These searches ended this afternoon when their bodies were found on another feeder road about two miles off of the John Smith Road.

Williams noted that their bodies had apparent gunshot wounds and that the bodies were sent to the medical laboratory on the Burrell Boom Road for a post mortem examination.

“We do have a number of persons we are looking at and the police are surely going to conduct an intense investigation with a view to ascertain who is responsible and bring him or those persons to justice,” Williams said.

Williams said that the couple’s home was ransacked, consistent with a burglary at the residence. Williams said that neither the husband nor the wife have any known criminal connections which would prompt this sort of situation. He also acknowledged that police were called to their neighborhood last Friday, over a dispute the couple had with some of their neighbors.
