Dangriga men avoid death by ambush

By Aaron Humes: Death came for two men of the Benguche Area, Dangriga Town, Stann Creek District, on Friday night, but appears to have left empty-handed.

44-year-old Steven Oliver Lorenzo and one Emmanuel Flores were together socializing in the back yard of Lorenzo’s home when he was approached by two dark-skinned men. One of them pulled out a firearm and opened fire in his direction hitting him once on the left side of the buttocks, once in the groin area, and once on the right hand in the wrist area. Thereafter the attackers ran to the roadside through the cemetery area and escaped.

Police processed the area and recovered two nine-millimeter expended shells. The matter is under investigation.
