Police seek one suspect in Nicholas Moody investigation

By Benjamin Flowers: Twenty-four-year-old taxi driver Nicholas Moody was shot dead in Belmopan on Saturday, and police are seeking one suspect in connection with the murder.

Inspector Hilberto Romero of the Crimes Investigation Branch (CIB), explained that Moody was in his taxi parked in the Intelco Hill area on Saturday night when several men on motorcycles rode up to his vehicle and opened fire. He was taken to the Western Regional Hospital where he later died of his injuries.

“He was targeted by persons that he may have had a previous conflict with,” Romero said.

Romero added that police have not determined why he was in the area at the time.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
