Butane gets price decrease countrywide

By Benjamin Flowers: Аs of midnight last night, the wholesale and retail price for Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG)(butane) went down, according to the Government of Belize.

A ѕtаtеmеnt frоm thе Belize Bureau of Standards (BBS) issued yesterday explains that In all districts, the wholesale price per gallon of LPG went down by 20 cents from $3.59 to $3.39. In urban areas, the price per pound went from $1.18 to $1.13 while the price per gallon went from $5.19 to $4.99. In rural areas, the price per pound went from $1.20 to $1.16 and the price per gallon went from $5.29 to $5.09.

“The monthly decrease seen in May is mainly due to a lowering of acquisition prices and freight for both butane and propane,” the BBS said.

The last adjustment to the price of LPG was made on March 23.
