Giovanni Lovell wins C-Ray Full Throttle Thursday Race, makes it 3-in-a-row

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Giovanni Lovell this morning raked the field for a third consecutive week in the C-Ray Full Throttle Thursday Race on the John Smith Road which connects the George Price Highway with the Philip Goldson Highway via the PSW Goldson International Airport.

Going 24.2 miles per hour, 0.5 mph slower than last week, Lovell won the 21-mile race in a record time of 52 minutes and 38 seconds. Last week he was 1:38 faster, but today that didn’t matter. Lovell was still the winner.

Joshua Fuller was 2nd, dropping last week’s second place rider Brandon Cattouse to 3rd. Carlton Robinson was 4th and Roque Matus finished 5th.

Cattouse won the Masters A Category (35-44yrs) followed by Henry Moreira in 2nd and Marvin Hyde in 3rd.

Matus took the Masters B (45-54yrs) over Fitzgerald ‘Palas’ Joseph (2nd) and Dwayne Wade (3rd).

Warren Cote won the Masters C (55+yrs) followed by Santino Castillo (2nd) and Isaiah Willacey (3rd).

Kaya Cattouse won Women’s Category while Gabrielle Gabourel won the Women’s Junior Category.

Elwin Humes took the Men’s Junior Category.
