Stephen Robinson wins Weekend Warriors Maskall Sunday Race

By Ruben Morales Iglesias: Stephen Robinson of Team Valvoline wins Sunday’s Weekend Warriors Maskall Race.

Edison Usher of M&Ms placed 2nd, Dejon Longsworth of Santino’s finished 3rd, Vallan Symns of Kulture took 4th, and Hillermo Clark of Valvoline was 5th.

The race started at 8 a.m. at the Sandhill junction which unites the Philip Goldson Highway and Maskall Road, also called old Northern Road or old Northern Highway.

The A and B Class riders did two laps from the Sandhill junction to Maskall and back for a total of 46 miles.

Isaiah Willacey of Santino’s won the B Class. He was followed by Charles Garay of BFSC in 2nd, Santino Castillo of Team Santino’s 3rd, Kenny Gooding of Santino’s rode in 4th, with Kenneth Butler of FT Williams was 5th.

The C Class riders started their 34-mile lap and a half race at the Altun Ha junction.

The C Class was taken by Antonio Escarpeta of FT Williams. Gabriel Gabourel was 2nd. Herald Humes of DIGI rode in 3rd with Manuel Esquiliano of Truckers 4th while Armando Moralez of Valvoline rounded up the Top Five.

Weekend Warriors says they would like to thank everyone for coming out.

Next Sunday’s event will be in the Mountain Pine Ridge area and will be sponsored by M&Ms Engineering Company.
