Punta Gorda educator robbed at farm

By Aaron Humes: Information from the South is that a campus administrator for the University of Belize in Punta Gorda Town, Toledo District, was held up over the weekend.

Roy Polonio was at his farm o Saturday afternoon when several men, one of who was armed, made an unwelcome visit around 4:30 p.m.

Reports say the men blindfolded and tied him up then stole his Jeep, which was later found abandoned near Medina Bank.

A traumatized Polonio managed to free himself, we understand, and find help.
