Posted: Tuesday, June 1, 2021. 3:20 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The U.S. Embassy Belmopan today announced the resumption of routine nonimmigrant visa services effective tomorrow June 2.

The embassy says that Belizeans interested in applying for a visa may visit the embassy’s website to schedule a new appointment.

Over the past week, U.S. Embassy Belmopan Consular Chief Wilbur Zehr has engaged in multiple television press interviews to raise awareness about the resumption of routine visa interviews.

Consular chief Zehr says that the embassy has implemented protocols to keep staff and customers safe, including requiring mask wearing and physical distancing in our waiting rooms, frequent disinfection of high touch areas, and following all local COVID-19 regulations.
