UDP Vice-chairman makes clear Faber is leader of party

By Aaron Humes: This evening, it has been confirmed, there was a meeting of the central leadership of the United Democratic Party (UDP).

Reports from Love FM suggest that after the latest public black eye for the party, a video showing Faber losing his temper with his former partner at the home where his daughter resides, there are plans to get him to step down, or in the alternative, announcing plans to have him recalled.

But Faber is not going anywhere just yet, according to party vice-chairman Alberto August.

In a sharply-worded response, August explained that Faber spoke to the grouping in great detail about the incident and his personal life.

But, he made clear, “At NO point in the meeting was any request made for our Party Leader to step aside.

The Hon. Patrick Faber remains the duly elected Leader of the United Democratic Party.

A release to that effect will shortly be issued.”

He concluded, “We ask for those mischief makers to cease and desist from spreading misinformation.”
