Cabinet receives update on emergency road works completed

By Zoila Palma: On June 1, Cabinet met at its regular session and received an update on the emergency road works completed from November 2020 to May 2021.

Julius Espat, Minister of Infrastructure Development and Housing shared an update on infrastructure works conducted after the passing of hurricanes ETA and IOTA and funds Cabinet approved to urgently restore and repair countrywide damage to roadways and road infrastructure.

In addition, the Ministry conducted repairs to the national road network and streets that were already in a state of disrepair “due to years of neglect,” a statement said.
