By BBN Staff: Sarteneja residents, Daniel Ack and Jaimilee Cruz were caught on Thursday with about $30,000 worth of fish fillet.

Police reports say that just before 1 p.m. cops were conducting a vehicular checkpoint when officers stopped a black Mitsubishi Endeavor driven by Ack.

Inside the vehicle, authorities found (12) boxes with marking Fillet Basa (Bass fish fillet) amounting to 320.6 pounds, (01) box containing salmon fillet amounting to 46 pounds, and (06) boxes containing jumbo shrimps amounting to 317.6 pounds.

The residents could not produce any documents for the fish and were taken to customs.

Authorities say that both will be criminally charged for having the uncustomed goods.

The Fisheries Department was also called to investigate.
