Minister of Youth, Sports and E-Governance continues tour in Western Belize

By Zoila Palma: The Minister of Youth, Sports and E-Governance, Kevin Bernard is continuing his tour of the western region.

The tour began with a visit at the Western Regional Training Institute and Service Area. There, Minister Bernard accompanied by CEO Jose Urbina, Director of Sports Ian Cal and Director of Youth Services Kevin Cadle spoke to the staff and invited guests. 

Minister Bernard was moved by the testimony given by Florita Botes who is a living example of where drop out youths can make a comeback and become a productive citizen in the country.

Mayor of Belmopan, Sharon Palacio also spoke on building partnerships between City Hall and the Ministry.

The event also featured a dance presentation by the Waturugu Dance Troupe.

Minister Bernard and his team also joined Mayor Palacio in the famous Jerusalema Song and dance.

The team also visited various sporting facilities in Belmopan and the Golf Course in the Roaring Creek Community.

The tour continues today in San Ignacio.
