Low pressure system expected to develop over southwestern Caribbean Sea this week

By BBN Staff: The National Hurricane Center (NHC) based in Miami, Florida is reporting that an area of low pressure is expected to develop over the southwestern Caribbean Sea by Thursday or Friday of this week. Some gradual development will be possible after as the system moves slowly northwestward towards Central America.

According to the Hurricane Center, there is a 0% chance of formation in the next 48 hours but a 20% chance of formation in the next 5 days.

The above tropical weather outlook was released by the NHC at 8:00 PM Eastern Time (or 7:00 PM Belize time) on Sunday, June 6th.
