BREAKING NEWS: Patrick Faber’s job as Leader of the Opposition under threat

By Aaron Humes: Nearly six months after taking office, Leader of the Opposition United Democratic Party Patrick Faber faces the loss of that role.

Party chief whip and Mesopotamia are representative Moses “Shyne” Barrow today wrote on his official Facebook page that the majority of Opposition members of the House, a total of five including himself, no longer put their confidence in his leadership.

Conversely, the majority of House Opposition members have coalesced around Albert area representative Tracy Taegar-Panton to be Opposition Leader.

However, Barrow says a meeting of the party National Party Council will be convened before the Governor-General is contacted about any change.

Faber’s loss of face stems from his loss of temper on camera at the home of his youngest child’s mother a few weeks ago though there have been rumblings ever since his appointment following the November general elections.
