By Aaron Humes: Jasmine Hartin, 32, returns this morning, by videolink, to the Supreme Court of Justice Herbert Lord for the continuation of her bail application on a charge of manslaughter by negligence.
Hartin is accused of causing the death of Police Superintendent Henry Jemmott by shooting on May 28 in San Pedro Town.
Justice Lord has received the submissions of Crown prosecutor Shanice Lovell and defense attorney Senior Counsel Godfrey Smith on the issue of Hartin, a mother of two and partner of businessman Andrew Ashcroft, potentially attempting to flee the jurisdiction, making herself unavailable for trial.
A decision is expected in the coming days, one way or another.
We’ll have more as it happens.
