Flood watch issued as unstable weather is expected

By Zoila Palma: The National Meteorological Service of Belize has issued a flood watch.

There is a possibility for flowing to occur in low-lying and flood-prone areas especially in Southern Belize.

The Met service notes that conditions have become moist and unstable with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms expected.

The extended outlook is for showers and thunderstorms over inland areas tomorrow afternoon and in Southern parts of the country tomorrow night.

Those in flood-prone areas are urged to remain alert.
