By Zoila Palma: On Tuesday, Mexican officials confirmed that Honduran President, Juan Hernandez had made a request to Mexico for assistance in vaccine doses.

During a speech, Hernandez indicated that Mexico had already committed to donating vaccine doses to the country.

However, Mexican health authorities say that they have received the aid request but a decision is yet to be made.

“Some governments of other countries that have had a well-known difficulty in accessing vaccines have made requests to Mexico through diplomatic channels,” Mexico’s health minister, Hugo Lopez-Gatell said.
