Ana Lopez, Brandon Adolphus compete in Central American Cross Country Championship this morning in Guatemala

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Anan Lopez and Irene Thiessen are competing in the 10 kilometres race and Brandon Adolphus and Amir Ramos in the 12K this morning in the CADICA Cross Country Championship at the Chatun Ecological Park in Chiquimula, Guatemala.

The team traveled by road on Wednesday evening and arrived in Esquipulas at 5:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Both Lopez and Adolphus went for a jog right after arriving and today they were the first ones to compete in the Centrral American Championship.

At midday, Ruben Gentle and Arniel Godoy are competing in the Boys U14 2K.

Latisha Ramirez, Rossy Guardado, Tridean Martinez are participating in the Girls U14 (Infants A) 2K

BAA president Deon Sutherland, who leads the delegation, said Belize is competing in nine categories at the Central American Championships.

Belize’s other participants are:

Kamrone Sainsbury and Nathaniel Linarez are Belize’s competitors in the Men’s U-20 (Junior A) 8Km.

Andres Armstrong and Ceasar Trejo are participating in the Men’s U18 (Junior B) 6K.

Jada Logan is competing in the Women’s U18 4K.

Kaylin Monterroso and Keely Faux are running in the Girls U16 (Junior C) 2K.

Albert Lemus and Rupert Cardinez compete in the Boys U16 4K.

The coach is Patricia Ramirez and the chaperones are Julie Faux and Laruney Cruz.
