The Ministry of Health and Wellness is also commemorating World Blood donor day with a countrywide blood drive.

 The day is being commemorated under the theme, “Give blood and keep the world beating.”

The day is set aside to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood.

The Ministry joins the global community in thanking the selfless individuals who donate their blood for people unknown to them.
