By Benjamin Flowers: Police have served the surviving driver in a fatal road traffic accident that occurred over the weekend with a notice of intended prosecution.
On Saturday, June 12, taxi driver Alberto Jimenez ended up in a head-on collision with another vehicle driven at the time by Myron Medina.
Jimenez, who was alone, died while undergoing treatment at the Western Regional Hospital (WRH); while Medina and a passenger who was with him, remain at the WRH receiving treatment.
Police Media Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police Fitzroy Yearwood, said that investigations are ongoing, but that police have not been able to speak to Medina due to his condition.
“As recent as this morning, they had to do a procedure on him, so we will have to wait until the doctors give us clearance to speak to him,” Yearwood said.
This is a developing story.
