By Anita Nembhard-Flowers: Ulide Allen, notorious street figure known for a 2019 shootout with police, walked free from a robbery charge today after the complainant dropped the case.
Allen, 22, was arrested and charged for robbing Noris Gordon of a cell phone and other items with a total value of more than $2,400 back in 2020. The offense, which was done at gunpoint, was committed in front of Gordon’s home.
Allen, who was in jail and brought to court on a removal warrant, was informed that the prosecution wished to discontinue because Gordon wanted no further court action.
Since Allen obtained bail for his other matter against the court, he was free to leave lawful custody at the conclusion of the case.
