First canoe race after more than a year, Father’s Day Boom to Manatee Lookout Canoe Race coming up on Sunday, June 20

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: This first race organized by the Belize Canoe Association after the lifting of restrictions on non-contact sports by the Ministry of Sports is set for this coming Sunday, June 20.

The Belize Canoe Association (BCA) announced that the Father’s Day Boom to Manatee Lookout Canoe Race will start at the Riverside Park in Burrell Boom at 10:00 am on Sunday and head to Manatee Lookout.

The BCA said bearing the COVID-19 regulations, the race will be a C2 (2 paddlers per canoe) non-membership race.

Entrance fee is $50.00 per team.

Trophies, medals, and cash prices will be awarded to all winners said the BCA.
