By Zoila Palma: Today, Prime Minister John Briceno extended appreciation to the countries that have provided and continue to provide support for Belize during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Just last week our big brother to the north Mexico, sent us a generous donation of 100,000 vaccines. For President Obrador and I, our long-term friendship must grow stronger in the time of the pandemic. International cooperation is critical: The biggest global threat remains Covid-19,” PM Briceno stated.

Prime Minister Briceno also thanked Barbados, India, and the United Arab Emirates for their generous donations.

“Our job creation plan is based on our vaccination plan. Our government now has a stockpile of vaccines, and we are getting close to having enough to reach our intended target.

You see, my administration will reverse the massive mess we inherited from the previous UDP government,” PM Briceno stated.
