Belize Weather: Showers on the decline entering weekend

By Aaron Humes: Our airflow is becoming less moist and unstable according to the National Meteorological Service. For the next 24 hours, there will be sunny skies today with a few cloudy spells. Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy. Shower activity will be isolated, except for the south where a few showers and isolated thunderstorms can be expected during the night and early morning.

High temperatures today range from 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast to 94 degrees inland and 84 degrees in the hills. Tonight, it will be 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 75 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds are east to southeast at 10 to 20 knots; sea state is moderate.

Low tide occurs at 10:22 this morning and 10:42 this evening; high tide is at 4:06 this afternoon.

The sun sets at 6:29 p.m. and rises at 5:18 a.m. Saturday.

Saturday will see partly cloudy skies and shower activity will be isolated, except for the south where a few night showers or isolated thunderstorms can be expected.
