Department of Youth Service staff member in Corozal tests positive for COVID-19

By Zoila Palma: Today, the Department of Youth Services (DYS) confirmed that a senior staff member of the Corozal branch has tested positive for COVID-19.

DYS noted that the infected person was in contact with other senior staff from branches countrywide during the department’s annual strategic planning meeting.

“As a result, all offices will be temporarily closed for seven days to allow staff to quarantine and get tested and have offices sanitized. Santa Elena, Dangriga, and Punta Gorda offices will remain open,” the DYS noted.

The public is urged to continue practicing safety measures.
