Minor female is first to be charged in Gonzalo Rosado murder case

By Aaron Humes: Three months after his death, Police say a minor female who turns 18 later this year has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of Gonzalo Rosado, former manager of the Border Management Agency, which occurred in March.

Police have announced that after consultation with the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Cheryl-Lynn Vidal, they have arrested and charged the minor from Benque Viejo del Carmen Town, Cayo District, for the crimes of conspiracy and abetment to commit murder in the presence of her mother.

Rosado had gone out to pick up a woman on March 1 around 7:30 in the evening. On his return home to the village of San Jose Succotz, next door to Benque Viejo, he was with her and two other men when he was fatally shot. Police initially held and detained several persons as part of their investigations before releasing them. A motive has yet to be established.
