Senior policeman dies in traffic accident in Corozal

By Aaron Humes: Breaking Belize News has confirmed the tragic passing of a senior police officer in a traffic mishap in the village of Concepcion, Corozal District.

Information to us so far is that Assistant Superintendent of Police Fernando Neal and Constable Didier Clavel, both attached to Precinct One in Eastern Division, now located at the corner of King and West Streets, were on their way to work around midnight a.m. today when they were involved in a high impact collision in the village of Concepcion overnight.

ASP Neal, we understand, died on impact at the scene while Clavel sustained injury. The driver of the other vehicle involved is said to have suffered minor injuries and has been detained.
