Posted: Tuesday, June 22, 2021. 1:42 pm CST.

By Zoila Palma: Today, the Minister of Tourism & Diaspora Relations, Anthony Mahler, Evan Tillett, Chairman of the BTB Board of Directors and Noriko Gamero, Director, Cruise and Destination Planning, BTB are attending the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association-Port Miami Return to Sail Summit.

This is part of activities in preparation for the reopening of the cruise sector in Belize.

The BTB says that during the summit many vital topics will be covered, such as when and how cruising will return to the Caribbean, Central and South America, and Mexico.

Discussions will also focus on the new protocols in cruise destinations, including the impact for tour operators and shore excursion operations; and creating opportunities for destinations to have more of their populations join cruise line families.

During the summit, Mahler met with executive, Micky Arison, Chairman of Carnival Corporation.
