Police hand over human remains found in Cayo to National Forensic Lab

By Benjamin Flowers: The Belize Police Department has handed over some human remains found earlier today in the Cayo district, over to the National Forensic Science Service (NFSS) for analysis.

Around 8:00 a.m. officers responded to a report in the  Mosquitoville area, San Ignacio Town, where they found a human skull and some bones, along with pieces of clothing. The department says that it has yet to identify whose remains they are.

The NFSS will conduct a post mortem examination, while police carry out an investigation into the incident.
