By Zoila Palma: Every month, the U.S. Embassy in Belize highlights outstanding alumni of US Government-sponsored programs.

For the month of June, the U.S. Embassy’s public affairs alumni spotlight is on Fabian Green.

Green is an alumni of the Youth Ambassadors Program 2020.

Fabian says that he decided to join the Youth Ambassadors Program because he wanted to help bring change to his community.

He saw the opportunity to network with people from around the world and acquire skills and resources that he could bring back with him to Belize.

During his tour with the program, Fabian traveled to Colorado and then completed his homestay in Maryland.

Green says that his experience was eye-opening and was introduced to the concept of a food bank, an initiative he hopes to undertake in Belize to help supply food to people in need.

Since returning from the Youth Ambassadors Program, Fabian has participated in several projects involving the Love Foundation Belize, including an anti-corruption campaign geared at promoting good governance.

Green has also co-hosted a talk show that aired on the Love Foundation Facebook page.

Green says that he is determined to pursue a career as a prosecutor or a civil attorney and one day become a judge or the attorney general for Belize. He encourages his peers to work diligently toward their goals and opportunities they seek will come their way.
