Youngest positive COVID-19 case reported in Orange Walk District

By Aaron Humes: According to our colleagues at KREM News, a baby aged just 15 days old appears to have contracted COVID-19 in Orange Walk District.

The baby suffered seizures and fever and was taken for tests at the Northern Regional Hospital, Orange Walk Town, where a COVID-19 swabs came back positive for the virus.

The baby is admitted at the Northern Regional Hospital where all patients are being tested for COVID.

The mother of the baby is negative and so they are still trying to determine how the child was infected.

The Orange Walk District is dealing with two active clusters of the infection, both in Trial Farm.
