“Elvia Vega needed to acquire her own vehicle to do the work,” says Prime Minister

By Zoila Palma: Prime Minister John Briceño, last night on Channel 7’s Uncut, commented on the $70,000 salary advance given to Corozal Bay Area Representative and Minister of State in the Ministry of Human Development, Families and Indigenous People’s Affairs, Elvia Vega.

“If the UDP didn’t give away the good vehicles to their cronies, we would have to use our own vehicles to do the work,” Briceno said.

Briceno explained that Vega needed her own vehicle to do the work of the people since she is now the Minister of State and is working closely with Minister Dolores Balderamos Garcia.

“I made no excuses and gave her the advance to get her own vehicle to do the work of the Belizean people,” Briceño asserted.
