By Zoila Palma: Prime Minister John Briceno in an interview last night said that one of the first moves by his administration in November 2020 was to allow cattle farmers to export cattle.
Briceno says that his administration has ensured that there are proper protocols in place on the Belize side with Immigration, Customs and the Belize Agricultural Health Authority (BAHA).
“Everything on our side is done legally,” Briceno said in relation to the cattle export.
To date, the Prime Minister said that $30 million worth of cattle has been exported.
