By Aaron Humes: Patrick Faber suggested he was doubly betrayed in the loss of his parliamentary office to Moses “Shyne” Barrow yesterday.
Faber went away for his ongoing counseling session after the meeting of the House of Representatives on June 4, Barrow having given fulsome praise of his leadership.
But he changed his mind and is now leading the campaign to oust him, and took on the mantle of change maker within the party with the support of Denise “Sista B” Barrow and Hugo Patt.
Patt told Faber on Wednesday night that he was approached and asked to sign by his constituency delegation, which he reluctantly did.
Faber said that faced with that, he had to fold and did not object to the Governor-General having to remove him when she so informed at 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon in Belmopan, two hours before Barrow was sworn in.
Faber charged that the “plotters and schemers” have shown great disregard for the party Constitution, considering that Barrow is the youngest member of the party delegation.
