Belize Weather: Skies fair but shower activity to pick up

Moist and unstable conditions countrywide will support an increase in shower activity especially in inland areas and the South according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies will be sunny with a few cloudy spells with isolated showers expected over inland areas today, decreasing slightly this afternoon then increasing over the south while remaining isolated elsewhere tonight.

High temperatures are 90 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 94 degrees inland and 84 degrees in the hills. Tonight, expect temperatures of 80 degrees along the coast, 74 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds will be southeasterly at 10 to 20 knots and sea state is choppy.

Tides will be high at 11:29 this morning and low at exactly 7 p.m. this evening.

The sun sets at 6:31 this evening and rises Monday morning at 5:21.

In the daytime on Monday, there will be generally isolated showers and thunderstorms but most of the country will see showers, thunderstorms and periods of rain on Monday night.
