By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Cojac Smith won the bronze medal in shotput on Saturday afternoon at the National Stadium in San Jose, Costa Rica at the Central American Athletics Championships.
Smith hurled the shotput at 13.69 meters.
Gold medal winner Jack Short of Honduras made a throw of 19.66 m breaking the Central American record of 18.08 m that he set in 2020.
Smith won the bronze in his sixth and final attempt. His first throw was his shortest at 12.59 m and before his final attempt, his 4th at 13.59 m had been his best.
