The airflow over Belize maintains as relatively moist and unstable. For the next 24 hours, according to the National Meteorological Service, it will be sunny with a few cloudy spells today and cloudy at times tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated, except for slightly more occurring over inland areas this afternoon. Then, some showers, a few thunderstorms, and periods of rain will occur over the south at first tonight and spreading to most areas.
High temperatures peak at 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 93 degrees inland, and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight, temperatures reach 79 degrees along the coast; 73 degrees inland, and 66 degrees in the hills.
Winds are easterly to southeasterly at 10 to 20 knots and the sea state is choppy.
High tide comes up at 12:21 p.m. this afternoon, followed by a low at 7:48 p.m. this evening. The sun sets at 6:31 p.m. this evening and rises Tuesday morning at 5:21 a.m.
Outlook for Tuesday and Tuesday night is for some showers, a few thunderstorms, and periods of rain occurring across the country, with a decrease in activity during the afternoon.
