Belmopan City declared Child Friendly City

By Zoila Palma: Today, Oscar Requena, Minister of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour and Local Government, Ramiro Ramirez, Minister of State and Belmopan Mayor Sheran Palacio declared Belmopan a Child Friendly City.

They were accompanied by CEO Valentino Shal, Paulette Wade of UNICEF, and Margaret Nicholas of the National Council for Families and children.

The commemoration of the Belmopan Billboard Launch was held to award the municipality for completing their level of silver status, by ensuring that the rights of children and adolescents are respected.
