Five people charged for robbery in El Progresso, Cayo

By BBN Staff: Police have arrested and charged, Wilhelm Coye, Luis Marin, Jerry Cruz, Kimberly Coye, and Crystal Coye for a robbery that occurred on Monday morning in El Progresso, Cayo.

Maria Aguilar of Aguilar’s Aggregates told police that she was in the store around 10 a.m. when she saw a dark gray vehicle in the parking lot.

A man exited the vehicle with a gallon in his hand.

The man entered the store and said he wanted $10 fuel.

After receiving the fuel, he said he needed oil. Then a second man entered and pointed a gun at Aguilar.

The culprits proceeded to rob the establishment of an undisclosed amount of cash and an Apple iPhone valued at $1000.

Wilhelm and Jerry were charged for robbery and the others for abetment to commit robbery.
